The State of O’Sullivan’s Law
“Any organisation or institution that is not explicitly right-wing will over time drift and become left-wing.”
O'Sullivan's Law · John O’Sullivan · 1989
A day in London on the future of conservative institution-building.
23 February 2027
The conference
The National Trust, the Tate, the Home Office, major banks, publishers, the BBC, corporations of every kind. We are surrounded with DEI, green, safeguarding, outcomes-based education, perceived offence, special pleading, two-tierism.
O’Sullivan’s Law describes a deep problem for conservatives: policies come and go. But culture and structure are harder to shift. Given that conservatives are innately loyal to institutions, how do we work to re-plumb the architecture of power? How can we build a world that is O’Sullivan’s Law-proof?
Join us for a one-day event in London — with a keynote from John O’Sullivan, and talks from a range of prominent conservative thinkers — where we’ll be mapping the state of institutional capture, and seeking solutions.
