Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data O’Sullivan & Partners Kft. (“we”, “us”, “O&P”) collects, why, and what your rights are. It covers our website, our general mailing list, and the Repealing O’Sullivan’s Law conference.
01
Who We Are
O’Sullivan & Partners Kft. is the data controller. We are registered in Hungary. Contact for any data protection query: info@osullivanandpartners.com.
02
What We Collect, and Why
Enquiries and bookings: name, email, phone, employer or affiliation, and anything else you volunteer — to respond to you, process your booking, and administer your ticket. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you (once you book) or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (before that).
Payment: handled by our payment processor. We do not store your card details ourselves. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Dietary and accessibility needs: collected only if you tell us, to arrange catering and access at the venue. This can count as “special category” data under GDPR (e.g. a health condition or allergy), so we only ask for it where necessary, keep it to the minimum needed by the venue and caterers, and ask for it on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you provide it.
Photography and filming: the Conference is photographed and filmed. If you attend, you may appear in this material unless you opt out (see our Ticketing Terms & Conditions for how). Legal basis: legitimate interest in promoting the Conference and O&P, balanced against your right to opt out.
Marketing: we do not add you to any mailing list just because you bought a ticket or made an enquiry. We ask separately, and only act on a clear opt-in.
03
Who We Share It With
- Our payment processor, to take payment.
- Our invoicing provider, to issue a compliant invoice under Hungarian law.
- The conference venue and caterers, limited to what they need to seat, feed and accommodate you (including any dietary or accessibility information you’ve given us).
- Our own systems (email, database) used to administer bookings.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it beyond what’s listed here without telling you.
04
How Long We Keep It
Booking and invoicing records: for as long as Hungarian tax and accounting law requires (currently up to eight years for invoices).
Dietary and accessibility data: deleted after the Conference has taken place, once it’s no longer needed.
Enquiries that don’t turn into a booking: deleted after a reasonable period of inactivity, typically twelve months.
Marketing consent: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
05
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. It remembers, for the length of your browser session only, that you have seen the opening page; that note holds no personal data and disappears when you close the browser.
Payment takes place on pages run by our payment processor, which uses its own cookies to keep the payment secure. Those are covered by its own notice.
06
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data; correct it if it’s wrong; delete it, where we’re not required to keep it; restrict how we use it; or, where the legal basis is consent or contract, receive it in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, contact us at info@osullivanandpartners.com. If you’re unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, NAIH (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság).
